Baby Birthday Flowers – What Does the Baby’s Birth Month Mean?

  • Posted on November 3, 2009 at 5:18 pm

While the first six months of the year carry many pastel-colored flowers, beginning July, bright colors become the most common. Summer brings more joy and color into the picture and fall follows summer with intensity and power.

Julys birthday flower, the larkspur”or sometimes called the delphinium”denotes the sensitivity of an open heart and portrays strong bonds and attachments of the soul. The name delphinium coincides with its many dolphin-shaped flowers that are attached to the long, upright stem. The color of the flower can vary between red, yellow, purple, blue, or white, and each flower has five petals. The five petals meet and join together to form a concave flower with a spur at the end, hence the name larkspur. Larkspurs convey a lighthearted emotion and a feeling of levity.

The gladiola gives those born in the month of August a title of courageous and brave. The Latin word gladius is the direct translation for the word sword, and the gladiolas sword-shaped stems are a visual representation for that. Symbolically, the gladiola represents moral integrity and strength. An extended meaning for the gladiola makes reference to its sword-shaped stems and its ability to emotionally pierce the heart with its stunning beauty and grace; infatuation is one of the feelings that this unique flower depicts.

Septembers aster is lush, rich, and exerts wild and unconventional beauty. Asters have strong association in the mythical world with magical powers and supernatural abilities. A long, long time ago it was believed that when aster leaves were burned, their fragrance would drive away any sort of evil. Now, this flourishing flower signifies abundant love and profuse elegance.

The essence of autumn is captured in Octobers birthday flower, the marigold, which was once called Marys Gold by Christians. The marigold contains rich and intense colors that are bold and daring; brilliance and luminosity are characteristic of its breathtaking blossom. Marigolds are symbolic of affection, fondness, refinement, and grace.

November brings quite an interesting and unusual flower like the chrysanthemum, which is a symbol for the sun. Long ago, chrysanthemums are said to have held high positions in ancient cultures. The Japanese culture associates chrysanthemums with utmost perfection, and today, these flowers are linked to a long and healthy life. Chrysanthemums literally stand for optimism, hopefulness, and cheerfulness.

December is filled with good tidings and joy; the poinsettia is the perfect flower to portray the seasons greetings and good cheer. Known as the Christmas flower, the poinsettia is deep but bright red, and its petals are long and beautiful. Legend has it that poinsettias began as little weeds, but, when a humble, little girl placed these weeds on the church alter, they transformed into beautiful poinsettias! They began to bloom and exert a brilliant shade of red and carried charm and grace. This Christmas flower is the perfect symbol for merriment and joy during the holidays.

From January to December, flowers are great representations of feelings, emotions, and characteristics that can bring a special touch to your special baby shower!

What To Eat To Have A Baby Girl

  • Posted on November 3, 2009 at 1:42 pm

You may be surprised to know that by eating the right foods you can influence the gender of your next baby.

By eating the right foods you can lower your body’s ph thus creating a more acidic vaginal environment and increasing the chance of conceiving that little baby girl you want.

The reason for this is the fact that it’s the man’s sperm that determines the sex of a baby. The womans egg always carries the (xx) chromosome (all girl) while the man’s sperm can carry the (xy) chromosome (produces a girl baby) or the (yy) chromosome (results in a baby boy.)

Although not very scientific, I will refer to these different sperm as the girl sperm and the boy sperm (for the sake of simplicity.)

The two sperm differ in the fact that the boy sperm is faster, smaller, and weaker (dies off easier.) The girl sperm on the other hand is larger, slower, and tougher (longer lived.)

Keeping these differences in mind, and keeping your vaginal reproductive tract more on the acidic side, you can create an environment that the boy sperm will find survival very difficult. This leaves only the girl sperm left to fertilize the egg resulting in the baby girl you want. So eat foods that are acidic and avoid foods that are alkaline. Also you need to eat foods rich in calcium and magnesium, and avoid foods high in potassium.

So what foods should you eat if you want a baby girl? Well start with foods rich in calcium such as milk, yogurt, and cheese. Add foods rich in magnesium such as beans, legumes, leafy green vegetables, as well as highly acidic foods such as corn, red meats, fish, and whole grains.

Foods to avoid if you want a girl are alcohol and caffeine (coffee and chocolate) any foods high in potassium such as bananas, most vegetables, orange juice (yes, it’s not as acidic as you may have thought) potatoes, spinach, and watermelon.

There is a much quicker way to change your vaginal ph, and that is by douching. I would suggest this route only while under your doctors supervision though, as douching has been known to cause vaginal infections.

You can test your vaginal ph with test strips available online or at your local health food store. While trying to adjust your ph you should test often to give yourself the best chance of success. When you’re holding you beautiful little baby girl in your arms, you’ll know all your hard work was worth it!

Order Phenomenal Bedding Crib Sets For Your Little One Without Swallowing Up Your Allowance

Many would agree that it is optimal to begin with listing all that will be needed to complete the task of decorating a welcoming space for their excitedly expected new arrival. This experience can take a while, so do your research and make your lists and you’ll better understand how much time and energy it will take.

Be sure that you factor in things like setting up the crib and painting. Next, first-time parents should list each and every item needed to properly equip a nursery, and this includes baby boy sports crib bedding.

When parents make a list of essential baby gear items they can begin shopping online or at department stores to get a feel for the prices and options available to them. Prices for identical linen sets can vary greatly, so do your homework if you want the best deals in discount baby girl bedding.

For safety’s sake, remember to choose form fitting bedding rather than loose blankets which can entangle an infant. Instead of buying the overly fluffy bedding for your new son or daughter, be sure to check out the safer crib sets from a reputable company.

Parents shouldn’t worry, because if they put in the work, they will find a large number of businesses (including stores, manufacturers, and baby bedding designers) who make every attempt to provide high quality and safe products for baby’s room, without resorting to charging consumers high prices. Jojo Designs crib bedding offers up beautiful and safe bedding in many colors.

Jojo Designs has strived to offer families affordable baby gear since 2000. This company sells nine-piece matching baby bedding sets because this actually saves the new parents money and also makes it very easy for them to create a beautiful environment for their newborn without exhausting themselves.
